This course can only be run offsite, where there is access to a truck-mounted loading crane. This course is booked according to our availability, minimum class numbers apply.
Pre-requisite: CPCCWHS2001 Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry Note: If you are calculating and slinging loads you are required to hold a dogging licence.
This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to safely and effectively operate a truck-mounted loading crane to load and unload building products delivered from suppliers to the construction site. It includes;

What to Expect
Course duration: 2 days face to face training & assessment (8 hours per day, 7 am – 3 pm) Small group classes with our highly qualified Trainer and Assessor to train you right the first time, so you can stay safe for a lifetime Students will have access to all required equipment and resources in a simulated environment
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Students must: •be a minimum of 16 years old •have the appropriate language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) capability to undertake the course (note: an LLN activity is to be undertaken prior to enrolment) •have access to the internet and a computer/tablet device to undertake pre-course reading •bring and wear PPE – steel capped boots, rigging gloves, hard hat and high visibility vest •produce Photo ID
FACE-TO-FACE TRAINING
Day 1 of the course is for learning! Our fully qualified and highly experienced WorkSafe Trainer and Assessor will support you through the theory content and assist you to practice practical skills.
ASSESSMENTS/EXAMS
As this is a competency-based program, students gain feedback throughout the training and assessment is undertaken on Day 2 of the course.
OUTCOME
Upon successful completion of the course, you will be issued:
• A Statement of Attainment for the Unit of Competency
• A CSA photo ID competency card

Valid for 5 years and then renewable every 5 years either via the Worksafe Portal or Australia Post
How long do I have to lodge my Worksafe High Risk Notice of Assessment once deemed competent?
60 days, either via online in the MyWorksafe Portal or at Australia Post.
What if I fail an assessment?
If you fail any of the three WorkSafe Assessments, you are able to re-sit the assessment/s a second time. Re-assessment is at a cost of $250 per re-assessment. Re-assessments will be scheduled according to our availability. If you fail on your second attempt, you will be required to undertake the full course again at the full cost.
Can I cancel my course?
Yes, we require 7 days’ notice prior to the course commencement date to cancel or transfer your enrolment. A cancellation fee of $100 is non-refundable. Refer to our cancellation/transfer/refund policy in our Student handbook
Do you offer tutoring?
Yes, our fully qualified Trainer and Assessor offers free of charge after hours tutoring if required.
What are your class sizes?
Our class sizes range from 2 to 10 participants, depending on the course.
What do I need to bring?
Full PPE equipment (helmet, steel capped boots, hi-viz vest and riggers gloves)
Valid Photo ID (Driver’s licence/WorkSafe licence/passport)
Do you supply lunch?
No. However, we have a kitchen with a fridge, microwave, sandwich press and toaster oven. A food truck also comes early in the morning each day, that provides a variety of fresh food. You also have access to free tea and coffee throughout the day from our kitchen.
