Licence to perform Dogging

  • THIS COURSE INVOLVES:

  • slinging techniques, including the selection and inspection of lifting gear, to safely sling a load;

  • the directing of a plant operator (crane operator) in the movement of a load when the load is out of the operator's view

  • rope tying techniques

  • hand and whistle signals

What to Expect

Five days of in person, small group classes with our highly qualified trainer to train you right the first time, so you can stay safe for a lifetime

  • PRE-WORK

    A Learner’s Workbook must be completed through the student portal prior to attending the course. The workbook will give you an overview of what you can expect to learn throughout the course but they are not the exams you will undertake.

  • FACE-TO-FACE TRAINING

    Days 1, 2 and 3 of your course are for learning with our fully qualified and highly experienced WorkSafe Trainer and Assessor who will prepare you for your assessments

  • ASSESSMENTS/EXAMS

    Days 4 and 5 of your course are for the three WorkSafe mandated assessments/exams;

    • Calculations

    • Knowledge

    • Practical


    All exams are based on training provided on days 1-3

  • OUTCOME

    If deemed fully competent, a WorkSafe Notice of Assessment will be issued, giving you the ability to start work as a qualified Dogger immediately.

    NOTE: WorkSafe Notice of Assessment is valid for 60 days, you must lodge your NOA via the Worksafe Portal or at Australia Post before the expiration date. Failure to do so will mean you are no longer competent and you will be required to complete the full course again at the full price
